It started with my kidneys failing, not because I did anything wrong but having a kidney disease that is hereditary and passed down to me by my dad. I knew I had polycystic Kidney disease after giving birth to my youngest daughter in 2012. I thought I was hemorrhaging only to find out that I had Kidney disease. 9/13/2024 my first surgery for pd catheter to start the process of being on home dialysis. Recover slow but fine. Week 3 of surgery area cleaning and flush and the catheter decided it didn’t want to work. 2nd surgery scheduled, removal of 1st catheter and placement of the 2nd. 4th weeks into 2nd catheter placement and back for another xray I go. My catheter is not working again.
I am a married mother of 3 girls, I need a living donor because I need to be here on this side of heaven for my husband and girls. I do not want to spend the rest of my life on dialysis having surgery after surgery. I still work full time and I am struggling daily. Please someone bless me with a living kidney.
