Hello! I'm Dean, and on behalf of my supporters (friends, caregivers, dialysis and transplant team)--thank you for visiting.
I was diagnosed on Feb. 4th, 2020 with End-Stage Renal Disease (a.k.a. Kidney Failure) after a 5-year battle with Chronic Kidney Disease.
This happened because of prolonged stress and taking care of my mom's final agreements/burial after her own prolonged battle with chronic illness.
I was hospitalized, diagnosed with complete kidney failure, and began dialysis on Feb. 5, 2020
The good news is, I am on the transplant list for the University of Washington. And to maintain being listed, I have worked with doctors to improve my health status. It has been a challenge through the pandemic; but with prayer, physical improvement, a positive mental attitude, and asking my mom for help...I have persevered through this life-changing condition, and hopefully earned the right to receive The Gift.
Being a Live Kidney Donor is giving The Gift of a better life to a hopeful person. This person hopes to live a longer life free from dialysis like any healthy person.
With your Gift, I'll have a chance to live my life like I've often dreamed: Meeting a special someone, settling down, maybe have a kid or three...and continue giving back to others like I was before.
I would be grateful if you shared this page.
