My name is Cassandra Strickland. I am 43 years old and I am in urgent need of a Kidney donor. I am O positive. I have been on dialysis for about 4 years now. I just want live for my children and family. This has been extremely rough journey for me. I have had to have toes and finger amputated. I have been hospitalized several times and lost my life but brought back through cpr. I have walk with a cane and be pushed in a wheel chair now. I thank God for giving me strength to push through this and keeping me. I had an appointment for my evaluation in January 2026 to be listed on the donor list at VCU in Virginia, NC everytime my appointment time came I ended up being hospitallized and my Dialysis caseworker is currently working on trying to get me back scheduled in. My mom has been and extremely great help with taking great care of me along my journey of kidney failure. She has sacrificed so much for me. I have a daughter a 13 year daughter, 26 year old son, and 7 year old granddaughter. I am currently hospitalizes so Finding a living kidney donor would save my life and help me live to be here for my children and family.
