Hello. My name is Meyrick Millington. I’m made this page in hopes that the right person sees this. I’m a husband, brother, son, uncle, and as of 2017, I’m a proud US citizen who came to this country for a better life. Unfortunately, life has not been easy and right now I’m in urgent need of a kidney transplant.

Ever since I was young I have struggled with my weight. And in 2018, I was rushed to the hospital and learned that I suffer from high blood pressure and that the condition was causing my kidneys to fail. I’ve been on dialysis 2 years. While I have been able to hold down a job working as a warehouse specialist for the US military, dialysis has taken a large toll on my body and mental health. I constantly feel unwell and so much of my time outside of work is spent inside a clinic attached to a machine.

It has been a very difficult journey and without the support of my wife — who is my peace — I’m not sure where I’d be.

A living kidney donor would not only save my life, but it would allow me to really live. I’m only 35 and I want to travel, buy a home where we can garden, get a dog, and one day have a child.

Even though my wife and brother are not medically eligible to donate, I’m doing my best to stay positive. I’m eating healthy foods and since I was hospitalized, I’ve lost 60 pounds. The only thing I’m missing is the gift of a life from a living donor. I would be so grateful if you shared my story.
